La Lanterna is Glasgow’s oldest family run Italian restaurant still in the hands of the original owners. Opened in 1970 by Valerio Martinolli & Antonio Fassone, the restaurant enjoyed unrivalled sucess throughout the 1970’s and 80’s.

History
In 1998 Christopher, Valerio’s son, and his business partner Luca assumed control of the restaurant and since then the restaurant has maintained its position as one of the finest Italian restaurants in the city, winning the Best Italian Restaurant award at the 2012 Glasgow Restaurant Awards.
With a wealth of experience in the industry Christopher & Luca continue to give a wonderful dining experience and regularly receive positive reviews.
With many regular customers over the 40 year period it can be truly said that La Lanterna has stood the test of time.
